Cambree's 7 year birthday Disneyland Trip!

We decided to start a tradition with each of our kids. On their 7th birthday, they get to go to Disneyland alone with either Mom or Dad. Cambree has been so excited to go. She kept saying that she couldn't wait to tell me which ride we would ride on, or where we would go.

We headed over to the valley on Monday afternoon. We made a stop at Target for last minute items and she decided she wanted to eat dinner there at Target. Already she was loving every minute of this trip.

We got to the airport and she got her first 'ride' of the trip by going on the sky tram.
We ended up get a delayed flight to Disneyland which made us miss our shuttle so we didn't get to our hotel until 11:30. We were exhausted and fell asleep pretty fast. Next day Cambree chose for us to start in California Adventure and do the cars ride.
So here we are waiting in the fast pass line to get on cars.

We didn't end of riding Cars first so we headed over to the Buzz ride first before that one got too busy.

Here we are finally on cars ride. It was fun!
Cambree asked for cotton candy...she got cotton candy.
After a couple rides we headed over to Disneyland. We immediately saw Minnie Mouse.
This was the first time in MANY years, that we saw princesses. Cambree was in heaven.

We also watched the parade. She took all the parade photos.

Her favorite ride by far was Pirates. In all we rode it over 11 times.

Wednesday was her birthday. We had several things planned. She woke up exhausted from the days before.
At 10:00 we had an appt. at Studio 365 where she got a makeover.
See- told you she was falling asleep.
 Getting pixi dust!
In the end she- finally woke up and She LOVED her makeover. They gave her makeup to keep and all the brushes they used on her.
We then headed over to Buzz ride in Disneyland for a bit, Autopia , Pirates (of course) and then back to California Adventure.

I got us reservations at Ariel's Grotto. What a cool experience. She had one on one time with the princesses. They talked to her and asked her questions.

At the end they came out with this dessert platter. She LOVED it!

We headed back to Disenyland and Ariel was right out front. Ariel saw her pin that said 'Ariel's Grotto' on her shirt. Ariel played right along and said ' Oh I just saw you at Ariel's Grotto'. Cambree couldn't believe that Ariel 'remembered her'. It was pretty cute.
That night we stayed till close (11:00) and watched fantasmic and the fireworks show. I've never seen either because of the time of year we typically go. It was really a neat show.

That night, Cambree was so sad to have to take out her hair for the day.
Last day, we only had time to go on a couple rides before we had to leave. We went on all her favorites one more time.

As we left on the shuttle, she literally lost it. She was so emotionally drained from the 3 days, that she was bawling her eyes out. She didn't want to leave. :)

Overral it was a very neat experience for Cambree and I. We got to talk without interruption, and just share in some very neat moments together. She has asked me several times, if we can do more things alone which I definitely want to do. You don't realize that need until it comes up like this. Disneyland was SO SO SO busy, and SO SO hot, but it was all worth it. Happy birthday to my sweet Cambre. Love her!
