Brecklynn's birthday at Nana's

Every kid always looks forward to their birthday Sunday at Nana's. They get a special birthday cake and everyone sings to them. So simple but they all love it. Well Darrek and Brecklynn's birthday was on Sunday this year which made it extra special. I can't believe these two are 4! 

Pioneer Day

Well we had another Pioneer Day here in the Gila Valley. I love how big it is here in a small town.

We started off watching the parade with our good friends the Pecks. 

 Brielle kept telling every float "Hi" as loud as she could.

 My nephews Dagan and Dawson on their float.

 After the parade we headed to Taco bell for a fast dinner and then to the football field. THe kids loved playing with their friends.

 It rained a little bit so they all huddled under our blanket.

 Then we watched the fireworks. Brielle was a crack up. She didn't like them at first and any little pause between the fireworks she would get all excited and say "all done". But she finally got over her initial fear and loved them

It was a fun Pioneer day!

Brecklynn's 4th Birthday

Well after an eventful week, we had Brecklynn's 4th birthday party. I was shocked she actually wanted a friend party this year. She's been so anti her birthday in the past. We decided to go easy and just so a princess playdate party with a few of her closest friends. 

Ridge insisted on wearing these clothes and being a Prince Charming. I thought it was so cute. 

 For the 3rd year in a row, we did an Ariel cake. This one was so easy to make. Just a barbie doll covered in frosting. She LOVED it.

 Grandma and Grandpa Meikle gave her a beautiful princess dress for the party. She LOVED it.

 As her friends came, we did princess puzzles and decked them out in crowns and earrings.

 Then we made magic wands.

 Ridge made me one :)

 Brielle was a grump all day and sat watching the cake the whole party. That was all she wanted. She couldn't wait to eat cake.

Brecklynn was the happiest she'd been all week this day. She was so happy for everything she got. It was nice to see a happier Brecklynn. Great birthday :)
